About 10 years ago I went to Freecreditreport.com, in the process of filling out the online form, I got to the point where the "free report" was going to cost $45, so I backed out of the page but was billed $45 anyway.
The FTC investigated the issue, I was not the only one to have this happen, a year later I received a check for $19.
